I grew up in Wayne, Pennsylvania (a town right outside of Philadelphia) with my parents and two brothers. I wanted to be a teacher since I was very young and used to teach my younger brother everything I was learning in school.
After graduating high school, I attended Virginia Tech and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor's of Arts degree. I then moved to Boston and started grad school that summer, and in 2011 finished my master's program with a degree in elementary education from Boston College. I taught a year of Pre-K and a year of Kindergarten at a school in Needham, Massachusetts. In the summer of 2013 I moved to Richmond and was lucky enough to accept a teaching job in Chesterfield County. After 5 years at Enon Elementary, I am excited to start my second year teaching at Bon Air!
Outside of school I enjoy reading, cooking, hiking, running, and spending time with friends. I love exploring around the city of Richmond and finding new things to do. I love to play golf and tennis, and go on adventures with my dog, Coal! I also enjoy traveling, whether it is to new areas in Virginia or on beach trips with my family.
